I became intrigued with development in 1970 while a professor at Word of Life Bible Institute. In addition to my teaching responsibilities, I was tasked with public relations, student recruitment, and fund-raising. In 1973 I returned to Grace Theological Seminary to pursue post-graduate studies. I was asked to consider taking a position in the development office. In return I would get a salary and free tuition. It sounded good to me! I have spent nearly 40 years of my life working with Christian ministries. God has granted me the opportunity of working with organizations in all 50 states of America, five of the nine provinces of Canada, and several countries around the world. Our clients have been large and small; some 3,500 of them. And God has granted me the joy of assisting them in raising over $2 billion.
i enjoy writing, i love to cook, i enjoy hiking golfing with my wife sue, sitting down with a good book, spending time with my sons and playing wii with my three grandsons!
